Introduction

Vibrio cholerae is the pathogen responsible for cholera, an ancient and widely prevalent severe infectious disease. Cholera has caused multiple pandemics worldwide, characterized by severe vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, and high mortality rates. Humans are the only natural hosts susceptible to Vibrio cholerae, with transmission primarily occurring through contaminated water or food. Cholera, a severe intestinal infectious disease, can lead to widespread or even global pandemics. In China, it is classified as a Category A infectious disease and is also a disease subject to international quarantine. Vibrio cholerae causes severe diarrhea in infected individuals, leading to cholera. Rapid and accurate detection of Vibrio cholerae is crucial for the prevention and control of cholera.

This kit is for Vibrio cholerae nucleic acid detection, based on the newly developed convenient nucleic acid testing technology by GenDx. It can qualitatively detect Vibrio cholerae in the samples being tested. Through real-time amplification curves, it can quickly determine whether the sample contains Vibrio cholerae. It is suitable for food safety testing, detection of pathogenic bacteria, and water quality microbial contamination detection.
