Introduction

Edwardsiella tarda is commonly found in both freshwater and marine environments and is widely distributed geographically. It can infect and cause diseases in a variety of animals, including fish, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals. Edwardsiella tarda is also the only member of the Edwardsiella genus that infects humans, leading to diseases such as osteomyelitis, peritonitis, cholecystitis, salpingitis, liver abscesses, cellulitis, and brain abscesses. Various economically important fish species and water bodies serve as transmission vectors for Edwardsiella tarda.

This kit is for Edwardsiella tarda nucleic acid detection, based on the independently developed isothermal amplification fluorescence detection technology by GenDx. It can qualitatively detect Edwardsiella tarda in the samples being tested. Through real-time amplification curves, it can quickly determine whether the sample contains Edwardsiella tarda. It is widely applicable for detecting pathogenic microorganisms in aquatic products and food.
